Mom came and sat with the kiddos this morning so DH and I could go to physical therapy. O! M! G! did that pt feel good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The therapist comes in and says, "Ok, Aly, are you ready for the next part?" and I replied, "Just 15 more minutes..." oh she cracked up! They put these little probe like things on the backs of our necks and shoulder blades and it tingled off and on for 15 minutes with heated pads on top....It was great!! then we had 8 minutes of some kind of ultrasound therapy on our necks...that was ok...but I liked the heat therapy better!!
We have 9 more sessions of pt and next one is Monday.
We also took the rental van back today. On the way home, DH was pulled over today for speeding!! He wasn't speeding either! I was with him and I think the cop had it in his head to pull us over because he had his lights on before we even passed him!
He got a warning, and we argued with the cop because he couldn't/wouldn't show us that DH was going 62 on his radar (he was doing 55) and in Ohio, it's mandatory they show us on the radar what they clock you at if you ask them to. We asked, no we demanded! He ignored us.
I told the officer I said, Look, I did 55 all the way to turn the rental in and he was behind me and the rental was a 2008 and I know it was right and he told me his odometer was at 55 the whole time. He couldn't look me in the eye as I was telling him that either. That is one of my biggest pet peeves....LOOK AT ME when I am talking to you!!!! Not at the ground, not at the truck, AT ME!!
So we get home and told mom about it, had a good laugh about it, and then mom asked to take her 4 pullets home that she had in with my McMurray order. She had ordered two Dominiques and two Delewares.
So I was telling mom I thought my free chick was an extra Salmon Faverolle, but that I wasn't sure because there was another chick in there that I thought was a Black Australorp, but I noticed a small white patch on the head like her Doms. So we get to looking, and the feathering on the wings coming in was slightly different. So we started comparing this chick with my Cuckoo Maran Pullet I have from Meyers...and they look almost identical! We think my free chick just might be a Cuckoo Maran! and on top of that, a Cuckoo Maran Pullet!!!!!!
So my mom's birthday is in May, and I'm thinking, if I am right and it turns out to be a Cuckoo Maran chick, I'll give her to my mom for her birthday, because my mom has been wanting Marans for a long time. And I do already have Elizabeth and Monroe, and the little pullet from Meyers growing up.
I'm editing, because I thought maybe this was too much personal information....so I'll sum it up by saying as long as StepDad continues to do what he's doing, Mom's going to build up her flock before they move.
We all know I'm such a HUGE enabler!!! Mom picked up her 4 chicks today, is taking a black male rabbit that was given to me, and in two weeks, she's getting ducklings.
OH, and I provided her with 5 turkey poults!
