I'm really, really wanting to raise rabbit again. I, of course, wouldn't be starting this for awhile, since I need to get control of the birds and garden first, but what I'm wondering is, can you raise meat rabbits, butcher at about 8 weeks or so and still use the pelt? Would it really be that bad of quality that it wouldn't make a nice blanket out of a few of them?

You can butcher at 12 weeks, and use the pelts.

Cool beans! It'll be awhile, but maybe I can have some pelts for this winter, if I'm lucky enough. For now, I just need to focus on everything I've got now. Even though I've already raised rabbits and poultry, I don't want to get in over my head by starting out again with everything right off the bat.
