We bought our house last year and the previous owners left one of those really big TV antennas in the garage(the kind that goes on top of the house). Is there anyway to re-purpose it?

If you mean the regular antenna, I just cut the aluminum parts off mine and they brought about $10 as scrap and I cut the pole into sections about 7 feet long and am using them for temporary fence posts for my electric fence.

That was about all I could come up with. :idunno

If you have a digetal TV on Long Island you can get a lot of broadcast TV since all the old channels were allowed to split to 4 channels. many may be aimed in your direction. If not just about everything there is handy for re-purposing. Check to see if ther is a remote step motor in the base, Those suckers are really handy.

My ideas are more plebian. Hang your laundry on it, or use it as a trellis for climbing garden plants. :)

You can use it to both directionally broadcast an receive other radio broadcasts.

AM/FM Radio, CB radio, WiFi, you name it.

Diane, I also thought about hanging laundry on it!

Could be useful for climbing beans
