I got some free tomato plants at a greenhouse closing up for the season. They are in bad shape. They are alive, but very yellow. I brought them home and watered them with some MiracleGro and now fingers crossed they will green up.

Should I keep watering them or go on and set them out in the garden? I think they can be saved, but need work. Any ideas?

(By the way, I have pretty well settled on fertilizer burn with my dead plants. Going to use these to hopefully replace them.)

Okay, I'll put them out. I think it'll be a few days, provided we don't get any rain. We just got a storm.

FEM, I will have manure tea next week hopefully. I could also make compost tea too.

So, my garden was not that wet and I was able to re-set my plants. I don't know how this will work out, but hopefully I can have a few to can up. I have also went through and marked the ones (that I burnt with fertilizer) that appear in bad condition to keep track of them.
