I am going to try to incorporate one into my greenhouse. Pretty much like the one in that article, only the bench will be my planting beds and the heat will keep the soil warm. We get too cold here to plan on growing veggies year-round, but if it works, I should be able to keep some spinach and such growing. Maybe some mini tunnels that I can pop over the planting bed - inside the greenhouse - to keep the heat close to the plants. If I can keep it warm around the plants, I don't have to keep the entire greenhouse that hot.

I'm thinking something like the stove we made, with a longer, horizontal pipe running the length of a greenhouse. It should make a big enough difference. I would like to farm mealworms as well, once I'm settled again, and they need heat to keep them going, so I'm thinking of using something similar in an outbuilding for them.
