rodeogirl's journey to being self-sufficient

Yesterday I had a day off so got my garden beds planted. My husband made me some raised garden beds a few years ago. In the first one along the back are peas and corn (I had the seeds so if they grow they grow). In the empty space closest to the camera are carrots and radishes, then tomatoes and basil, lettuce on the other side and cilantro at the end. The garlic in the front is an experiment I had some bulbs that were sprouting and decided what the heck if they grow they grow.

The second garden bed is more for my herbs (I'm getting in to herbalism). I have some honeydew and pumpkin seeds that if they grow cool but if not it wont be a loss. then i have marjoram, basil, oregano, thyme, then I have St. johns wort (that came back from last year) lemon balm and peppermint. the barrels on the ends have potatoes in them.

The flower beds are a mess but I have purple dead nettle, and I believe yarrow growing. I like to use wiled flower seeds so I have no clew what is all in there. The tulips are rescued from next door (there are a few more that i need to get) this is the first year they boomed.
