I was tending to a sick goat the other day and on the side of the barn I heard the weirdest crazy out of this world noise.
I finally had to go see what the heck it was.
Lil Kitty was hacking. WOW, just made my toes curl. The sound was just nasty!!!! I shooed her away.....do that in the woods ya know, not where I can hear it..LOL

No sick kids but two patients with the same thing...... 
Funny, but it seems that people know what to do with a sick kid but, when it's an adult, they seem to think the rules change! Weird, huh?
And these are nurses who just stand there and say, "What do we do????"
That's easy....keep 'em quiet, give them Phenergan(love that med!), clear liquids for a couple of days, pain meds if needed for that achey, feverish feeling and plenty of rest. This routine hasn't changed for the 16 years I've been nursing, but it seems to stump people now days.....

I almost spewed my coffee over the barf on the cat....and then the dog thinking it is a new way to give treats almost got me too!

She is much better and almost 100%
ate like a hound dog this morning...pancakes and sausage and we didn't see any of it back....LOL-LOL
kids recover so fast--I love that.
But I am thrilled it is over and only a limited about of barf laundry this time
seems the holidays should progress fine. she stayed home from school today so with this easy day she should be perfect by tomorrow.
