Simple yet beautiful pillowcases

I will be making some of those pillow cases this winter! Thanks for the video link. I had read the instructions for these a while back, but kind of got lost at the "roll up and stitch" part LOL But now I get it!

My husband ripped an almost new button down shirt a few days ago. Now I can use the fabric for the cuff at the top of the pllowcase instead of throwing it away.

Oh... I LOVE that! How cute... I've been lost in youtube videos for a little while...

I want my sewing room to look like that woman's! (instead of the 4x8 foot closet that is my room now)

At my local, tiny fabric shop, there is some sort of pillowcase making event going on. They expected to receive 100 cases, but as of last week, had over 300. Don't know where they were going to be donated...

Duh Barbara...why don't you watch the video first before opening your mouth?

Great great video. Makes me want to make one. Except I was always taught to wash and dry my fabric first. Maybe for speed of video'ing, they didn't do that step.

Don't feel bad--there are SO many fabrics that don't shrink, now, so you'll probably gonna be okay. I think the video also talked about using scraps, or recycling fabrics for this project.

I really liked the video--thanks for sharing.

I was expecting her to put cording inside of the 2 inch fabric--I kinda like my pillowcases that way.
Is there a turorial for pillow covers, with a zipper, as well?

Made one today! It was so easy, and so cute, OMG! (I did it by hand b.c I don't have a sewing machine that works.)

Thanks for sharing!
