Tony's laptop....:lau

heck she can work it and he barely can do a search HAHA

My bro is a VP of a computer company in Jersey. So he will get me a laptop at rock bottom price (kinda like a $600 laptop for $50)
so I can't go wrong on this one :bun he gets all our puters for us!

anyway.....since I finally got the router situation working Tony is online and SHE has taken over his computer. She is puter nutso!!

but what I would like to know......anyone got any good kid websites. She is on Barbie and PBSkids and other than that I don't know any good ones....when I search childrens games I get into teen games also and they are too old for her cause she is only 6.

so if anyone knows any good website games/learning for kids please let me know........thanks

The Disney fairies website Pixie Hollow is great, and so is Disney's Club Penguin. Both allow you to play limited stuff for free, and you can do more for a yearly fee. They are not really educational, but just fun (and the fairies one is really beautifully done). Popcap.com also has some fun games. It's is not a kids' site, but some of the games are fine for kids (others would be too complicated, but they aren't offensive or anything).

I like the fairies one too!

Mostly, I'd say go in and block the adult websites. She'll learn how to change the settings once she starts getting curious about why some sesame street sites are banned and others aren't, but it should help a bit.

you could also sit her down and explain WHY you are blocking some sites, plus maybe come up with a consequence for breaking into them anyway. Mainly though, I would try to get her to understand what you are doing and why, and maybe she will even ask you about a site if she starts searching and finds something marginal? At 6, she might still be cooperative about this.

My three year old grand daughter loves the Magic Schoolbus.. she needs help looking around but that is what gramma is for..
Plus I have several of the computer games from when her mommy was young and they work really well on the new laptop.

WOW
thanks everyone

I appreciate it. Got the sites marked and off to check them out. I knew there were some good sites out there! :)

plus----I asked her what in the world was a Moshi Monster.....she KNEW land was excited to see the website....oh man oh man those little things would drive me insane...what are they speaking, Clingon or something :bun lol
