OK, just a quick slacker alert!

I have been sick. Not 'normal' sick. 'Lady' sick. Ended up in the ER (of the worst hospital in MI, apparently) on Thursday. No help. Trying to find a local doc that can see me before April. So far, not so good. Keeping up with my animals and minimal household stuff is wearing me out. No more posts until I feel stronger. As if I'm a consistent poster anyway! :p

:( SSD i missed the jokey posting and straight to the not feeling good posting :( I must work on my timing!

Meanwhile, get better sis! :hugs I hope you find a good doctor with at least half a brain, and maybe wouldn't hurt if he isn't ugly too...and maybe if he's really nice AND smart...it'll make it less of a pain in the tuckus to go. :D Get better either way though...even if he looks like the north end of a southbound mule okay :hugs

Well, got the preliminary test results back. My hemoglobin in very low and my white blood cell count is through the roof. DH is panicking, but I refuse to read too much into it right now. Go tomorrow for some more tests - these will help narrow the list of possibilities. The doc (a woman, for now WBF, but the specialist I'm scheduled with is a guy ;) ) gave me some meds that have helped some, plus I have been using home remedies to boost my hemoglobin (and LOTS of iron pills, per doc's orders - did you know that, if iron makes you burp, it kinda tastes like green peppers?! I have been tasting green peppers all day for over a week now! :p )

On a good note, I was 'forced' to take a ride into town with DH this weekend. :D Our new bank, for some reason, will not allow him access to our accounts. So, he needed to go to Lowe's and Menards and I got dragged along to pay for it all  Anyway, it was a beautiful drive - he took the back way instead of the expressway, so I could look at the scenery - and we saw A BALD EAGLE!!!! In a field, RIGHT BESIDE THE ROAD! It was the first one I had ever seen in the wild, and it was huge!! Hubster stopped the truck and backed up, so I could get a better look at it - well, it didn't care for that and flew across the road, right in front of our truck, and perched up in a tree next to the road on the other side! DS#2 was so upset that he stayed home and missed it :(

I have been soaking up the sunshine that we have been graced with here, and S-L-O-W-L-Y filling my seed starters :p DH set me up a table outside, so things will hopefully go faster - up to now it was, add some dirt, rest. Add more dirt, rest. Water down dirt, rest. Drain off excess water, well - you get the idea

We have talked to the farm we got Ice Cream from. The bull calves won't be ready until August, so we will have to provide a 'one night stand' for my baby girl this year. It's not her fault, so I hope none of you think less of her because of it  We have found a miniature Jersey bull about an hour away, but I told DH I have to see him first - a 42" miniature is NOT breeding my 34" little girl!! As far as her 'permanent' boyfriend is concerned, we have our choice of a half Jersey/half Angus, or a 3/4 Jersey/1/4 Angus. DH wants the last one, but I don't want a predominately Jersey bull. I see his point though. We found out we CAN register Ice Cream ( :celebrate That means her babies could bring in more $$$$, if she's bred to the right 'guy' ), so DH wants a register-able bull. I want one that is NOT a jerk, since I will have to take care of it!

Wish me luck tomorrow! I am driving myself to the doc's - I HATE relying on other people, and the dizziness and trying to pass out problem I've been having has all but quit, so I get to drive all by myself! :gig

Hope ya get things straightened out soon and good luck tomorrow! :hugs

I could have easily been the one to type that...I don't really like to go out into the 'civilized" world all that much myself, but I will mke exceptions if there's a feed store or garden center involved. :gig

Thanks! I would be glad to just get back to my old, slightly lazy self :p

I have decided to take a short break from the seed planting :( and have begun working on a gift for our old nieghbors - a twisted attic windows wall hanging, as a thank you for helping us with our house down south. Let's hope I can get it done in a timely fashion! Wish I could post pictures, cuz I think it will turn out cool!
