SSDreamin Blessings and curses

SS no worries, it doesnt matter what time of year it is, sometimes we just need to vent...plain and simple!
and you certainly deserve to after that!

*hugs*

Hmmm...I have family members that I love but - they make me feel that uncomfortable. My way is to invent a new family tradition that they won't want to attend and then invite them. I know. Not nice of me but then I put the shoe on their foot - they decline to go...say... camping in December? Well at least they can't say I didn't invite them.
I think you are in good company. Many of us have family members that - well let's just say it isn't a perfect fit. Hopefully next year will be better.

Other Cindi I would LOVE to come up there and properly introduce myself to your lovely family!!! :D  Just tell them I'm the entertainment. I'd love to see the look on their face when I "do" them with a heavy Southern accent :lau I'll make sure I throw in a bunch of "Howdy Ya'lls" to see if I can grate on their nerves REALLY bad. This could be FUN..I am defiantely game ;)

Well, they already have picked on my strange accent - 12 years in TX and 1 in TN have made me sound like one strange Yankee  I still say soda and y'all, I can't help myself! I'm usually too mad to notice, but DH says the madder I get, the more southern I sound! At least he gets chewed out by a sweet southern drawl, whats to complain about?! :D

I've lived in SJ all my life, but every so once in awhile, I get asked what part of the south I'm from. I remember once, years ago, I was placing a phone order. And, the person had a really deep south accent. Halfway thru the order, she suddenly asked me what part of the south I was originally from. And there have been people that don't want to believe I'm telling them the truth when I say I've always lived in this area. :idunno

I got what I asked for for Christmas!! DH is in the process of completing it as I type this! :woot

I asked for the openings from the living room to the kitchen and to the hallway to be re-opened up. At some point, somebody closed the openings, making them just doorways :barnie It cut the living room off from everything, and they 'patched in' the area they filled in, so it looked ugly and poorly done :he

The best part is, all it costs is time (which, in DH's world, IS in short supply)! I absolutely love it :love
