Our garden is small, and I'm a big believer in companion planting, so my herbs are all planted in amongst the rest of my veggies to foil the bugs.

What would you ever do with that many herbs?

I grow a container herb garden and I always have more than enough herbs for myself and all of my friends just from the patio pots that I plant. Plus if I wanted to it is easy enough to incorporate medical herbs into the regular veg patch or flower boarder.

Those gardens ARE beautiful - no doubt! Just don't seem too practical in my opinion.

Certain herbs are great for attracting pollinators and beneficial insects, and there's always the option of selling surplus at a farmer's market or similar--maybe even mail order or eBay
