We had goats and sheep when I was younger. I was wrangled into helping hold the kid box for disbudding quite a bit. Paring off hooves doesn't bother me.
I don't really want to keep a buck. Lucky for me, there are a few goat dairies within decent driving distance of me where I can pay for stud service. I've inquired already. I won't get anything until we get some fencing up. We actually NEED to get some goats anyway. Only really effective blackberry control around here.
