Yup. In Livingston, I planted in mid February. Here, I plant in first of March. If you use horse manure, mix with lime or they will have scab. Scab won't hurt the eating of the potatoes, it just looks ugly and you have to peel them. Since my potato growing efforts here have come to naught so far, I think I'll make a wire leaf bin and mix leaves, sheep manure, lime and some horse manure. I had real good results with that before.

I was planning on using rabbit manure tea, like before.

Would that make them scab?

or maybe not even fertilizing at all. I been spreading rabbit manure and leaves on the garden all year.
