Still blowing bubbles after 8 days. I see some tiny seeds made it past my filters that are floating on the top now. Smells so good coming out of the air lock. I guess when I rack for the first time I'll have to figure out some kind of filtration. I'm very surprised to see seeds floating on top.

Yum...how long does it have to age for? You'll have to let us know how it turned out...

I hope it does well for you.

BUT -- in the future -- there is

Strawberry pie, jam, syrup, ice cream, or frozen for future use. Plus, just good with some whipped cream or plain. Yeah, lot at one time but, can be managed into several things.

The 28 or 29th annual strawberry festival going on here. It's the season :D We have a LOT of U-pick around here.

It will need to age at least 6 months in the bottle. but better after a year plus. It's approx 3 months to get it clear enough to bottle. Takes a long time... Not at all like beer :)

Can't wait to hear how that turns out!

I'm just shooting for a semi sweet, country/farm house wine, nothing fancy... I discussed with my buddy at the home brew store, he gave me some good advise. It should be ready to drink in about 3 months following his advise. I may need to back sweeten with converted sugar but we will see at bottling time.

There is approx 2 1/2 gallons in my cute little heavy duty 3 gallon glass carboy. I pitched Red Star Premier Blanc yeast which has a alcohol tolerance of 12%

Original Gravity (OG) a little north of 1.090 or a little over 12% alcohol potential. This is to match Red Star Premier Blanc yeast 12% alcohol tolerance. My hope is the yeast will leave a little residual natural sweetness from the strawberries, which my buddy said it should.

Lots of fun... Yeast is so interesting. I really like fermenting.
