Sorry for stirring up trouble!

:hugs to FJ and WBF
 No trouble! Just not something I am keen on discussing because some folks IMO have some really wild ideas about it. I hesitate to dicuss these things for this reason.

Okay dokay!! Im cool!!

FJ, it will get there, Turkey has applied but doesn't meet the standards for the same reason as Israel....most of the original countries have joined or have applied.

EU is the second biggest economic power...I guess I should have clarified that. They also, as of 2002(ancient history by now), had 35% higher population than the US.

The countries of the old Roman Empire that have not yet joined or have been approved have shown significant migration from their countries into the EU because of its rich trade and economic opportunities.

Somehow, according to Bible prophecy, the Roman Empire will be unified into 10 kingdoms. When one looks at the current state of those countries, one could wonder if it would happen in our lifetime. But look at the amazing advances just in the past 10-20 years. Who would have thought any of this would take place that quickly? I know I didn't.

Im gonna say we start 1 John tommorow!! Whos with me???

I don't want to argue either
Arguing doesn't even have to happen on this thread. Learning about a subject means that everyone puts as much info into the pot as they have currently gleaned and we all ponder it. We are all on the same side here so there should never be worries about arguing.

Actually, it shouldn't even be a debate. Anyone can express their views and be fairly sure that, if anyone doesn't agree, they can also express their views. No one, at this point, has all or most of the facts and the information offered is speculation about the subject.....not graven in stone.

It's educational to speculate on the current state of the world and how it relates to Biblical prophecy. I find it fascinating and am always eager to learn more....if you have some info, please do share!

Well since you quoted ME I'll say this..nobody has the same ideas and conclusions about the end times. It veers off track easily and causes a lot of confusion usually. I like facts rather than opinion. Controversial topics I simply avoid for the most part and do not like getting quoted on...so I tend to back off. I know most wouldn't agree with my POV. Which is fine, but also the reason I keep it to myself as I am myself very opinionated and know my limitations as to what I can and can not openly discuss and remain tactful :D

Thing to remember here.

1 Thessalonians 4:18 and 5:1-2

"Therefore comfort one another with these words. Now you do not need to have anything written to you about times and dates, brothers, for you yourselves know very well that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night."

;) :)

Amen! Just be prepared for it. Isn't that really all that needs to be said/done?!

Sorry all this is just a point of frustration for me. I pass a house that has put a sign out on their front yard by the road that says the Lord will return May --, 2011. It just makes a mockery of Christianity IMO..irritates the crud outta me :barnie You can only cry wolf so many times before anyone that mentions a wolf is a liar, no matter if they are telling the truth or not. I just don't speculate outside my own head ;) Makes me uncomfortable for other Christians to do so too for some reason. Seems kind of moot to me :hu
