I have a venture that I'll be working on starting in January. I learned some time ago that I can take the most ordinary everyday happening in my life, spin it into a story, and make a devotion out of it. So, while I'm recovering from my operation, I'm going to start writing a book w/some of these in it. Actually, I plan on doing a series of books w/30 devotions in it. And while I say I'm starting it, I have some of the stories written down already. (I wrote one this morning during church on shoveling horse poop. Pastor was preaching on the blessings that we have, and gave me an idea, and yes, I still listened to the sermon.) I'm hoping and praying that I can get these published. If so, this would do 2 things:

1) Provide me w/an income that's not dependent on me working outside of the home, that I can do around my schedule, and around my Meniere's.

2) Probably more important, I can use this as a way to hopefully help many people grow in their walk w/the Lord.

So, if y'all can keep this in prayer, it would be appreciated. I'm thinking of calling the books, Thoughts of a Country Girl, or Musings from a Country Girl, or something along that line.

I also have a bunch of object lessons that I want to put into book form and see if I can sell.

Welllll, no shoving God in a box around here...
Where do I start...remember when I told you all about maybe starting a bussiness here at my house? Well, it seems that my boss wants to give me a 20 x 20ft or so space downtown to do what ever it is I want to do, part of his shop! Wow!
God has been working things out while I sleep I think lately...

AND THAT"S NOT ALL..............................................................................................................................TRIPLE WOW!!!!

Last night I recieved an email...almost deleted it thinking it was junk mail... It was from one of Canada's leading magazines. I entered a quilt of mine into a contest they had running a few months back and then promptly forgot about it
Well it seems my quilt won...................................

Ummmm....a $10,000 sewing machine... AND they want to do an article on me! I didn't get much sleep last night after that! It seems the Lord is leading me somewhere, the machine is just a bonus...the publicity from Canada's top selling magazine, along with the fact that I am now an award winning quilter....WOW...the doors are most likely going to fly open, and I think the Lod wants me to follow Him through the doors he's been opening.

Whoever said being a Christian and following God's plan was boring???????????? I serve a great and wonderful God! But I am a little overwhelmed at the moment

And I really can't wait to see my bosses face tmo when I tell him about that email!

We've been telling you how gorgeous they were!!!! Hallelujah, Praise God, Morel!!!! That is amazing news....I can't even imagine getting that clear cut of a message from God that you are heading the right way. And I can't even imagine a 10K sewing machine!!! You'll definitely have to post a pic of that.....

Wow sounds like our awesome God has really been moving! He recently sent me someone to confirm my stand for my marriage on a day that I really needed it and to be a prayer partner that I had been praying for last week at the Dollar Store!
