Is any one involved in the new TEA Party movement? I am interested if there will be anyone attending a Taxed Enough Already party where you live? Will anyone be sending a TEA bag (photo, or empty, or some other simili) to Washington next week....

I was just looking at the website. There is one in my state capital. I may take my kids over for a civics lesson.

Is this just for people that are getting tax increases? If it is it will be a small party. I wouldn't bother.

It is not about "tax increases" for the rich and businesses. Those taxes tend to filter down thru to all of us in increased costs for everything. Many of those that have their taxes increased just pass the increase along thru increases in the costs of the products and services they provide to the rest of us. Additionally, the whole Cap and Trade Scam that they are trying to pass off on us will radically incrase energy costs to us all. It will add additional costs to everything that we purchase. The Cap and Trade tax will cost even the poor (who can least afford it) alot of money thru this trickle down effect. The measley $13 a week (if it is not prorated) and the $400 a year in rebate (if you are not rich or middle class) will not cover the added costs of Cap and Trade in money and jobs lost thru the exodus of the taxed "rich" employers from this country. . . but I digress.

The Tea Party is not about taxes, but it is about the philosophy that there should be "No taxation without repesentation" with the emphasis on representation and a return to the Constitution when making the laws that govern us. Many of the people that attend Tea Parties feel that our representatives are not listening to us and are not following the Constitution of the United States. We feel that our voice is not being heard and this is our way to put them ALL (Democrats, Republicans, Socialists et al) on notice that we are intent on being heard and we expect the Constitution to be followed.

I am also going if one comes near me ..........
I saw on Glen Beck and I can't remember who said it that if you send a tea bag they just get thrown away and nobody sees it b/c of security issues, to just send a tag or a photo.

Have a good time. I think at the original tea party the people doing it represented the general feeling of the colonies. This tea party will represent a minority of the American people. However the left leaning media will cover it. The more a lie is told the more true it becomes. That's Carl Roves doctrine. Used extensively the last 8 years.
