If you think they are messy little pigs, try Cornish Cross meat chickens. They poop out 10 times the amount they take in. Amazing that such a small creature can poop that much.
The Cornish stretch out basking in the sunshine, they look dead. Nah, just napping.

Found a cricket this morning and dropped it into the brooder ... chicks went nuts chasing it. it got ripped into about three pieces and the chicks spent about an hour afterwards trying to find another one. Boredom buster for sure.
