Took this from another web site. ( Thank you Kev for the thread) Loved it so much that I had to share it here. I have done 2 on this list so far. I am working on others:

I would like to challange every member of this forum to make a change to their lifestyle for 30 days. This can be anything - but you have to put forth some kind of effort.

Examples - but not limited to:

30 days - no sugar
30 days - no caffeine
30 days - walk 10,000 steps a day
30 days - read the Bible, Koran or any other holy book in 30 days
30 days - bike to work
30 days - walk 4 miles a day
30 days - no cheese burgers
30 days - no coke, pepsi, dr. pepper,,, no soft drinks
30 days - read something new

If you cheat, or miss a day - you have to start over.

Start a new thread in the forum - name it whatever your challange is, and keep the community updated.

Go.

Great idea! And congratulations! Change is not easy but after 30 days it becomes a habit, I think.

30 days - no sugar - No added sugar (this does not include the occasional dessert) - no sugar in tea or coffee - 53 or so years
30 days - no caffeine - No, this won't work - I drink at least a pot of tea a day
30 days - walk 10,000 steps a day - I don't count my steps, and probably now, in winter, it isn't that many
30 days - read the Bible, Koran or any other holy book in 30 days - Does science fiction count? Or mysteries? Or cookbooks? No, probably not. I read a lot, but not any holy books - they don;t interest me much
30 days - bike to work - am retired - my work is here
30 days - walk 4 miles a day - See above "walk 10.000 steps a day" - does this equal 4 miles?
30 days - no cheese burgers - No problem - I eat a burger with cheese maybe 4 times a year, or less
30 days - no coke, pepsi, dr. pepper,,, no soft drinks - see above "no caffeine" - no room for coke etc. with so much tea in the system
30 days - read something new - everyday - just not the bible or koran

30 days - no sugar I don't use much sugar anyway. A teaspoon in my decaf in the morning, an occasional cup of tea and I've cut way back on eating junk. It's a bit up now because of my operation-some days about all I do is sit back, eat junk and watch TV or play on here, but this isn't the norm.
30 days - no caffeine Unless I eat chocolate or drink a cup of tea, I don't use caffeine. I can't-it makes me dizzy.
30 days - walk 10,000 steps a day I've never counted how many steps I walk in a day. But, most days, I'm on my feet and moving much of the day.
30 days - read the Bible, Koran or any other holy book in 30 days I try to read some everyday, just not the whole thing in 30 days. I'd need to be reading over 2 hours a day
30 days - bike to work No job. But, when I do work, I take my motorcycle as much as possible. Does this count?
30 days - walk 4 miles a day Probably do, just never figured out how far I walk.
30 days - no cheese burgers You mean like from McDs? :sick
30 days - no coke, pepsi, dr. pepper,,, no soft drinks I rarely drink them anyway, so this shouldn't be a problem. :D
30 days - read something new I'm constantly reading anyway. Though I'll admit, most is books I already have.

I'm trying to come up w/changes that I need to make, just having trouble doing so.

Interesting, I have been doing something similar for the last 2 months, NO CHEATS at all :weee

30 days - no sugar- been around 60 days and have had no refined sugar that I am aware of.
30 days - no caffeine- have not had a cup of coffee, which I love but just don't need, been having green tea no sweetener instead.
30 days - walk 10,000 steps a day- maybe, being winter probably not.
30 days - read the Bible, Koran or any other holy book in 30 days- need to work on this one
30 days - bike to work- don't work outside of home but have taken up biking several days a week.
30 days - walk 4 miles a day- need to work on that one
30 days - no cheese burgers- have not had gluten/wheat for 60 days so no cheeseburgers either.
30 days - no coke, pepsi, dr. pepper,,, no soft drinks- was a Diet Pepsi drinker for 20 years, gave it up cold turkey and haven't looked back.
30 days - read something new- always, I usually have a few going at the same time.

This is a great idea THEFAN :D

I haven't had caffeine in......about 400 days now :D I'm doin GOOD ;)
I already read my bible daily.
I read constantly :hu
I already walk to work. I work here at home.

I am NOT giving up sugar...if I have to, someone will die :hide
Cheeseburgers won't work either...gotta has them, homemade though :drool

I wanna try 30 days of being well...can't start yet though

I'll do 30 days of doing something nice for DH and DD without spending any moeny, because that'd be too easy. Something out of the ordinary that they'll notice and hopefully appreciate. :D That could be fun, like the Love Dare family version :) Okay so today is day one...what is today? February...28th. Let's see how long I last..

Today I will go pick DD some flowers and put them in her bedroom. For DH.....crap...he'll be difficult, he's getting flowers today too

Do I have to/should I, start another thread for this?

Ok I'm inspired to do this. I'll give up caffeine for 30 days. I will also get a pedometer and try to get up to 10,000 steps a day--might struggle with that one. I will also read something new, and not just new. I will read Twilight, a book and movie series I despise. I'll struggle through it and throw a party when it's over. I'll go start my thread now. Yikes!
