The shingles for the roof were delivered today. So, there is hope that the roof may actually get done.

You remember my bake sale? Well, today when i was standing out on the corner taking pictures of the conveyor belt they set up to get the bundles of shingles up to the roof, a guy pulls up in a white truck and starts honking and giving me the thumbs up and a huge grin. I had no idea who he was. Then he said: "And not only that...the cookies were awesome!" I recognized him then as a man who bought one of everything, and all 12 jars of jalapeno jelly !!!

There are men on my roof delivering heavy packages of shingles !

Had an interview with our local paper this morning, and after it was over the reporter asked if she could toss an idea past me, and then her editor. An idea for me to write a column for the paper on frugal living.
