I axed Brady how to make a long distance call an he told me jist watt to say to the operater an all so I dun jist like he said an a girl answered an talked 2 the operator sum and then the girl said hello 2 me. I axed 2 talk to Hilda Lou an after a bit Hilda Lou said hello. I told her that it waz me an I waz a callin 2 wish her happy birthday. She said that she waz glad I called. I told her that it sure waz hot this summer, an she said that it waz hot there 2. Then I said that it rained the other day an cooled off sum, an she said that it had cooled off there, but they diddnt get no rain. I axed her if she waz fine, and she said that she waz, an then she axed if I waz fine an I said that I waz. Then sum girl in the background said, H. L. we gotta go. Then Hilda Lou told me that she had 2 go 2 klass, an she said thanks 4 callin, an I said who is H. L., an she said that that is watt they all call her at that there school, an I said Oh, an then I said good by, an she said good by, an I hung up the fone, an I think she did 2.
