The Freeze-Drying Thread

I have 2 five gallon buckets and a large tote full of mylar bags of meals at this point. I have also freeze dried some fruits and veggies. BTW, freeze dried pineapple is like eating candy when you do not rehydrate it. Yum.

We have been running 2 Harvest Right Medium machines since 2020.

I bought the small one last year, from Costco. I love doing veggies in it!

In the first year we had laying hens, (20 of them) they produced 5475 eggs. Because of that surplus we started freeze drying them. We are up to 200 dozen, freeze dried eggs at this time. They can be used any way except hard boiled or sunny side up.

That's pretty amazing. I've dehydrated eggs. Not terrible scrambled - I'd eat 'em if I was really hungry. On another note - the dogs love 'em, lol!

I brought some FD eggs on our trip to AZ this last two weeks. I've not yet made them up, but I'm sure they will be great!
