The Meaning of GMO?

Thanks for the tip - I'll see what I can find out. The previous year though, my tomatoes were absolutely laden with fruit. The only thing I changed was getting heirloom varieties (5 plants, 3 different varieties). They were planted in two different beds, one of which did not have tomatoes the previous year.

This year I plan to put a little oyster shell in the bottom of the hole before transplanting my seedlings (my chooks won't eat it and someone on BYC said tomatoes love it so its worth a try).

Adding oyster shells to the hole worked for me. My tomatoes went all "Little Shop of Horrors" and tried to take over the back yard :D

LOL, I love the way you expressed that. I can just hear my best friend saying it the same way!

And I must admit I'm interested ... Will have to try that!
