We grocery shopped yesterday and my house has been in such a disarray since Christmas that NOT ONE THING is where it should be!

I started in the kitchen. I got my spice/baking cabinet all organized. It's the cabinet right next to my stove. It was such a great feeling of satisfaction to see that cabinet all nice and neat! Next, the canned food cabinet! From there I'll be moving to the rest of the kitchen and then the livingroom and lastly, our bedroom.

Oh sure, I won't get it all done today. The goal is to have it all done by the end of the week, and I think I'll use this thread to keep track of my progress. Ya'll can help keep tabs on me LOL

I did find that the rat destroyed some of my bags of dried black eyed peas. I salvaged what I could, and the beans in the bag that was chewed on are soaking now to be fed to the chickens.

Oh, Quail you are so good. You should post your progress room by room and we should try and keep up. Nothing like a challenge to get one moving. I have to get through about 4 loads of folding laundry and I'll be right behind you.

I'm only here because my baby woke up wanting to nurse. So, I figure I could nurse the baby and post about my progress. Typing one handed is fast becoming second nature LOL

Soon as my baby is done eating, I'll be off to start the next cabinet.

I already cleaned the boys room and sorted through the boys clothes and fixed up 2 large garbage bags of boys clothes to go with the 3 that were left here. My mom picked up 3 of the bags to take to my cousin and my Aunt is coming today to pick up the other two bags.

I'll have the kitchen done today. That's the goal anyway. I still have groceries that aren't put away because the cabinets need organized LOL And this mornings dishes to wash...hmm...

Then I'm cooking country style BBQ beef ribs with mashed taters and corn...and double chocolate brownies for dessert!

yea I am in trouble too...Christmas stuff still out, driving me insane....so Nicole goes back to pre-school tomorrow and Christmas will disappear from the house...Yippee.

all you can do is attack the clutter and go in fighting, lol, in the end you will win!

OH my Christmas stuff was put up before January 1! I think like December 28 or 29 I got it down and put away...and that's late for me! Usually it is down by Christmas night.

Funny, isn't it? Seems like yesterday we were all moaning and groaning (and bahumbugging) the commercialism of Christmas and here it is GONE OVER KAPOOT! and 2009 OMIGOODNESS DAY 4 OF 2009 ALREADY!

Spring is JUST right around the corner and then doggone if we aren't going to be smack in the middle of summer before we know it!

Tony says it is bad luck to take down the tree before Jan. 1 ---so he insists on keeping it up til then. I let him have this little tradition...ugh

Very inspiring! What I really need to do is the closet in the bathroom. I've been ignoring it for months. I've been working in the kitchen this weekend, going through drawers and cabinets, but mostly getting rid of surface clutter.
