I love big old trees!! Was thinking the other day how amazing it would be to find a missed American Chestnut tree growing somewhere obscure around here.

Supposedly they've been extinct since the early part of last century due to logging. If you've seen one, no matter the size, it needs to be documented and protected.

The one is at the Nature Center, and they know it's there. I've heard there's another one, but have never seen it. The other was at Hawk Mountain, so it's known about as well.
