I worked at the theater as a teen. We had a drive-in during the summer that I worked when I was 16 and 17. Only a bit when 18 before I joined the Navy. It closed in 95. Too much encroachment from the town.

Have any of you tried to watch some of the TV shows from way back? Or movies for that matter. A lot of them did not age well. Some did. I can stil watch MASH without breaking my neck to get the remote.

I've adapted with technology well because my Mom tried to keep us as kids up with it. She saved and got is a commodore 64 in 86. So after a day playing in the ditch or out in the field, we could spend an hour loading a game and then take timed turns for a while

You know your getting old when you don't consider MASH a "way back" show.

I still watch...
The Honeymooners
Ozzie & Harriet
Father Knows Best
The Andy Griffith Show
Combat
and, many more.

Cartoons...used to love...

I still own my original copy of Batman (the 33 rpm vinyl album) that is now over 50 years old. It sits on a shelf in my den.

We watch a lot of old movie westerns when they come on.

I will sit and watch the Flintstones or Looney Tunes or Tom and Jerry.

Ok. I admit that if it's not a cartoon or some sort of science show, I don't generally watch TV. NOVA has been one of my favorite programs since I was a little kid. Yes I am a nerd.

I have a couple of tv shows I've enjoyed and the rare movie that's good... I mostly prefer documentaries.

My husband grew up watching old tv shows and movies. I can't stand them. Maybe I've been spoiled by better graphics?

My daughter doesn't like anything where anyone is mean or in any sort of danger. All happy shows here! Lol

Not sure why this comes to mind, but - door to door salespeople ...No - door to door salesmen...they were all men! Encyclopedias, vacuum cleaners, Fuller Brush Man... Some of 'em you opened the door for - some of 'em you called and warned your neighbors about, lol!

Yup! Haven't seen a D to D Salesman in years.
