doing a happy dance! My bare root order arrived today! I have persimmon, pomegranate, 2 plums and 5 boysenberries. Looks like I have a date with a shovel this weekend.

uggggg I was so drooling over all the bare root stuff at Lowe's. But one thing I did notice was everything was zoned up to zone 9. Uhhh isn't So Cal zone 10? I would love to plant some of the berries anyways just to give it a go. They also had asparagus and a bunch of other things.


I have spring fever. REALLY BAD!!!!

Gina, I ordered these from Bay Laurel in Atascadero near San Luis Obispo. http://www.baylaurelnursery.com/ I thought they had a great selection of low-chill things. We've got to get extremely low chill things since we rarely even get a frost (haven't this year!)
