Congrats on the new arrivals! Looking at your set-up here, it looks like rabbits are a great option for raising meat animals, especially for those with limited space. It's a simple enough set-up, doesn't take too much space, the rabbits themselves are easy to keep, butcher, etc… If one can get past the "cute" factor, they are great!

the numbers are constantly changing. Last night we put five in the freezer. But we had a litter. Last week we had two litters but one whole litter expired and we lost a couple 6 week olds in the grow out cage.

If I had to guess I'd say we have 13 kits in boxes and 5 that are just weined

Got the rabbitry sheet mulched. Next up fencing and a trellis across those poles. Maybe even a raised bed. A little bit less to mow for sure!

The bunnies are coming along well. All the does are bred again. I might get to breed them one more time before it gets too hot but that's about it. The season is nearing a close. Hopefully next yeasr is more productive.

I hope you can get going on rabbits again. Might have to build them a barn, if you do, deck it, tar paper it and use rolls of that heat barrier film. Then top it with metal roofing. That's what we did for the sheep barn-and it stays COOL under there. They lay up in the summer heat, they love their barn.
