Thunderstorm Fix

I Love a good thunderstorm. Under the right conditions.
Condition one... I am indoors looking out.
Condition two... It does no damage to my house or property.
Some of the storms that come through here in the spring can be quite worriesome as they are often accompanied by tornadoes.

:love :love :love a good thunderstorm, I wait anxiously for monsoon season to get here and love every minute of it. While everyone around me is complaining I am happily splashing in puddles!

We had our "fix" over the last 36 hours. Heavy thunderstorms with several inches of rain, that also produced a few tornado warnings east of us. We have more coming Sunday and Monday.

I need it to stop so I can finish building my new raised beds! :barnie

I do understand all that for sure.
I live in tornado alley for many years.

Where in Kansas were you?

I like a good ol thunderstorm, but do get tired of repairing my roof. Almost 7 years in my house and I'm already on my third roof. The hail stones we get here are enormous - baseball sized sometimes - and once they start falling, I call my insurance agent....

Just outside of Lawrence.
You need to invest in a metal roof. You insurance agent will give you a lower rate for doing so.

Yeah, I checked into that for the third roof. It was going to cost about 5x as much and my insurance agent said they wouldn't give me any kind of reduction on premium. The amount they would pay out *just* covered the new asphalt roof - I couldn't afford the metal since the rest would have come out of my pocket.

We get thunderstorms here. In fact, this is the only place I've lived where we have thunder-snowstorms.

We do not seem to get thunderstorms as bad as we used to. Don't know why. But then again, I'm not all that sad about it!
