Nope, don't hate it. Actually, it is very impressive, but the same holds true. 30 years ago, $15 was worth a lot more than it is now. I am thinking that the present value of our $1 is about $.02 when I was a boy. So if you look at $15 and stretch it 50 times you get the approximate value of what it would cost to build a similar structure now; assuming the usual barter, scavange and recycle capabilities exist. Just to make the point, I paid $25 for a 1 x 12 x 8 just a few weeks ago. Admittedly, it was clear pine but $25? C'mon...that is absurd.
