Don't retailers understand that spamming my email just makes me like them less?

Oh I'm with you there. What also annoys the life out of me is the ridiculous adverts on TV. Maybe it's just me, but do they really think showing us silly and annoying ads is going to make us want to buy their products or visit their sites? I tend to avoid things that annoy me...
