I have done that for a couple of years- bring them indoors that is. I keep several in pots just because of that. I keep mine in a small shed which has a double slidingglass door on the southern side but it is under several deciduous trees so it still only gets filtered light. Especially by the time you consider how many 'tender' plants i will pack in there and they all only get watered just enough for survival. Heat is supplemented to keep things above 45-50F. While I don't get anything but maybe a few lemons that didn't ripen before the cold hit it does give me a good jump start in the spring.
