Hello all still hanging out in Mt. Weather is beautiful and dh finally hit the jackpot in the trout department.
Tonight I tried to cook up my first half dozen on the grill. I forgot Peddlers recipe so I googled some grilling directions. Butter, season grill on each side about 12 min total. Mine took a bit longer the wind is reeking havoc on my bbq. Anyways. This is where the trouble begins.
How the heck do you separate the meat from the bones? I managed to pry the back bone and lg rib bones out. But there were so many little ones left behind. I know some people eats skin and some bones but all 3 kids under 8 almost choked to death.
The flavor was great meat tender but I just couldn't get it off the little bones.
Ok, so what did I do wrong? Dh and Ds are heading back out to fish, I think we may need to catch and release.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks, gina

I'd find some wood to place on the fire while grilling, like apple wood, hickory is really nice.
