trying to quit smoking again

WOO HOO! MIL was very successful with Chantix, she quit several years ago, just after chantix came on the market and is still smoke free. I won't take it, as I have a history of depression and I don't think it would be wise for me. :P

I really hope you have great results, it has helped a lot of people.

We've got a stop smoking TRAIN forming! Modern pioneer & I are also quitting. Check out our journals for inspiring remarks & tips from other folks who have quit smoking. The people on this forum have been super supportive & I'm sure they'll give you props too.

We can do it! We can do it! :bun :bun :bun

there was only one day that i felt depressed and it was for like 5 hours

you might not have much of a problem

this is my 10th day on it but the first 7 i smoke but not as much as normal

then again i dont know if im on chantix or the patch

in this study they give you both but you dont know which one is the real deal

You know, I had vivid, strange dreams on the patch. But MIL had them on chantix too. Yep, could be either one, I just re-read your first post.

I'm scared of all those drugs that mess with the mind's chemical balance. Another reason I am done with them, as ciggies have a bunch of mind altering chemicals.

I've been keeping a quart baggie of veggies, all cut up & read to eat with me at all times. That helps with the hand to mouth problem and keeps me from biting my nails.

ETA: I don't want to be done with them, I AM done with them. Got to change that "Im quitting" mindset to I've QUIT

yeah its day 2 1/2 no cigs well 2 days cause i smoked on at 11 on tuesday

today i started taking b50 vitamins as they are suppose to help with the nervous systems and give you energy and vitamin c just cause i had some left

tomorrow i will buy some prenatal vitamins but not pregnant as i find these vitamins the best all around after taking them for 3 pregnancies

Do you really want to quit? If so, I will bet that with just the cost of 3 cartons of smokes, this time tomorrow, after 5 hours of your time invested watching, listening and smoking, you will post on this thread that you have quit and maybe say thanks to me for providing this link....

I will bet if you get it now, watch it tonight, maybe watch it once more to get everything in to understand it tomorrow.

I promise you, you will be smoke free within 24 hours. :weee :ya

I smoked 1.5 to 2 packs a day for 16 years, I never tried to quit before. I just ripped the pack up, broke all the cigs in pieces and walked away.

With great pride, as a non-smoker, I am pleased to tell you that I am no longer smoking ciggies nor will I ever use any product that contains nicotine.

Look here on my journal the last couple days of my struggle and burst of freedom from the weed. :thumbsup :ya :weee :celebrate :woot
