upside down hanging tomato plants

went to those links and someone said that you can take the bucket inside easily when the fall nights start to get too chilly for tomatoes...this is exactly what I'm looking for with our short growing season.

I wonder if you could do just as well with 4 gallon buckets or even a 3 gallon...they won't be quite so heavy.

Look at this..these can't be 5 gallon buckets! http://www.minifarmhomestead.com/images/r_in_ohio.JPG

What kind of green peppers did you plant in your bucket, farmerlor? regular sweet greens?

I think some of my buckets were four gallon....anyway, some were smaller than others. I planted ALL kinds of peppers. I had banana peppers, bells, jalapenos, serranos, habaneros and poblanos. This year I've got some anchos and anaheims to throw in the mix.
