I know...vitamins are not really what is classified as natural.
But, this information is something I wanted to share with others.
I was told by my doc. (he is a specialist) to take Vitamin E and Borage Oils everyday for one month. The point? He said in some women, it has been shown to dissolve cyst in their breast.
It also thins scar tissue. Now, I know for a fact that if you open a vitamin E capsule, and rub it on a scar it will help it to heal quicker, and the scar...to disappear, or be less visible. I do this for all cuts once they scab over.
Wanted other women to know about the vitamin E, met several women in the waiting room, and they were firm believers....also it helps with 'burning'.

Hope this helps someone.

You got me...he sent me to a health food store to purchase, he said they would only be found there. They look like HUGE vitamin E capsules...(horse pills) They are in capsule form.
Oh, the Vitamin E needs to be 400 I.U.

I had never heard of this, and if it will save me another surgery...I'm there! This is only my 4th day taking them...will let you know how it works for me.

***Are you taking this for a certain reason?

I agree vit. E is a good thing and I heard about the scar rub also.....

what helps me with burning (which I rarely get, like 4 times in my life) is TONS of water to drink. I drink at least 100 oz per day....best thing ever for you cause your entire body works off water...every single organ needs ALOT. We certainly don't drink enough, and it makes a huge diff. on how I feel.

I like vitamins, I think taking extras of this or that what we may be lacking in diet is a great thing....but I went to the Dr. and had a complete workup on what I was missing...and it was B1 which is easily gotten from foods, so I was good actually.

Many years ago I had a large mass of scar tissue in my abdomen (from a laparoscopy to remove a grapefruit size cyst on my ovary). You could see the scar from abdomonal ultrasound, and x-ray. The Dr's said there's nothing they can do about it. It was painful when I moved certain ways b/c of whatever it was attached to.

A few painful months later I went w/ my friend to visit her "health nut" grandma (what my friend called her) She lived a few hours away and my friend didn't want to make the car ride alone. I'm so glad I did! She's very knowledgeable when it comes to health and nutrition. She gave me valuable info, and one of which was to take vitamin E capsules (I forget how much?) everyday, for a certain amount of time? (maybe 6 wks or smoething like that?) Anyways.... they gave me the most horrible gas.... but the scar tissue dissolved. Never to be seen again!!!! It does work wonderfully! If you can find a Dr. w/ the same type of knowledge.. you're lucky! They're hard to find in some areas!

I had an surgery on my hand a few years ago. They actually reconstructed one of my fingers and to get skin to grow around the nail bed naturally they sewed my one finger inside the other for 5 weeks. Anyway long story short..When all was said and done I had a huge scar on the reconstructed finger and another on the finger it was sewn into. I also had another scar from a skin grapht. The Dr. told me to rub vitamin E on it at least twice a day or more if I could. I did it three times a day. My reconstructed finger you can actually hardly tell anything happened other than a misshaped fingernail and a very faint scar. The finger they sewed it to, the one that recieved the grapht, is actully a little more noticable but still not bad and the area where the grapht came from is also not bad at all!! I have done this with my boys many times since then and it works well for them too!!

Good luck with the vitamins ParsonsWife. I hope and pray all works out for you!!

Borage oil is great! It gives me a wonderful complexion and it clears up dry skin. I started taking it this past winter because I have dry feet. Within days of taking it my feet cleared up and weren't rough. I had my hubby start taking it because he gets dry skin and it works for him.
I tell everyone about borage oil.

Where can Borage Oil be purchased at, would GNC have it?

You can get them pretty much where ever vitamins are sold. Mine is a borage oil capsule and it includes fish oil. They aren't expensive either.
