Walking this morning… Pictures of Ireland

You're welcome to :) Where in Ireland does your friend live? I'm in Co Tipperary. The best time to visit is now, Summer, otherwise when it's not winter. Winters here are mild, but the days are horribly short. It's dark by 05:00pm, so sightseeing time is limited.

In your post under Thurles, the second pic looks like a building was built from an old castle tower. Am I correct?
Such beautiful towns! It makes me want to visit more and more.

The Irish like "attaching" buildings to each other, including ancient buildings. In the village here, they've gone and attached a shop to the ancient castle ruin. The shop keeper told me a few times it's nerve wrecking having the shop there, any moment a stone from the crumbling castle walls can come crashing through the roof.

Dublin is overrated… Went there for the day on Sunday. We took a tram from the train station and first impressions was lots of graffitied buildings, smutty looking places. Across the river to Trinity College was a bit nicer, but I didn't see anything that made me go wow, except this squirrel wall art on the side of a building.

The famous college
