Is that a house? It looks like a barn, but the bottom looks like a four car garage :hu It's cute, but I wouldn't want to live in it because it looks too much like a barn to me. There aren't enough windows for me either...I like a lot of windows :D Is that two story? I could totally make that work though with a bit of tweaking that design to suit my taste ;)
Yes, it is a house plan. She wants to use the upper space for "storage". She's acutally talking about finding a 3-story version to build. :th

I just want a little garage/barn space I can call my own. :hide
Just add a basement level to the existing design :hu Make the bottom half basement, half garage.
Not quite following, but it's been a long day. I really should go sleep.

This goat is killing me. Her teats are like a freakin thimble...somebody please tell me they get bigger with each pregnancy?!!? I can hardly get a grip and it takes me ages to get much milk from her. She has really nice large udders, but the spout is definately lacking :barnie Tell me it gets better PLEASEEEEEEEE!

If they do get larger I think I may let her dry up and try her again with her next freshening. I keep getting a cramp in my hand trying to milk  I got a whole CUP today, and it only took me an hour :lau

Yes, they do sometimes get bigger after a pregnancy or two. With my sheep I have to milk them with 2 fingers and a thumb. PITA!

hee hee hee

thats what milking Nibbles is like - so i only milk her once a day (in the morning)

you should see my hubby trying to milk poor little Nibbles - he has huge ham-sized hands. no one is happy afterwards

hang in there baby!

What kind of goat do you have? Are you saying the orifices are small or just the teats? I have a Nigerian Dwarf that I'm milking right now that is a dream to milk. She has larger size teats for a Nigerian (still only use 2 fingers and thumb) but her orifices are huge. Makes all the difference in the world. Even if you have a large goat, if she has small orifices, that won't change. Teat size can change over time but it is my understanding that orifice size doesn't.

I have Nubians. It's the teats. It's hardly bigger than a thimble, and VERY difficult to milk her. The orifices are good, I just can't get a good squeeze. When I do there is a good stream of milk, but her teats are just so small I can hardly do it. This is my first time milking and her first time being milked but...well I thought we'd have better results by now

My one ewe was three finger and a thumb. the other was two fingers. WE ended up getting an udderly easy (?--I'd have to go check) milker for when we had sore hands/wrists. Didn't use it all the time, but brought it out with us justin case/ :P
