Isn't milking it generally the idea? :hide
*Ding ding ding* we have a winner!!!!

Snow, that seems to be about the general going rate around here for mini's. Usually it's more like $5-700, which still makes it a GREAT price though! The deal is they belonged to the boy, who has now gone off to college, and daddy raises BIG cows and doesn't want the burden of the little ones ;) His loss :D

The cow is a "mini Angus" AKA lowline, and the bull is a Zebu. Both are about 3 years old. I am going to look at them tomorrow. :)

I think Zebu's are SO CUTE! I am all for mini's

I have been told lowline's dry up quicker than other mini's (my guess that's based on experience with full size Angus though) :hu

We paid WELL over $1,000 for our micro mini, most around here (mini's) cost over $2,000, micro's are over $3,000 :ep I think $400 for a lowline (and Zebu?) is beyond fantastic!

I hope you decide to get them!

Zebus are adorable...and as far as Bulls go they tend to be realy sweet and mellow.

Yep, I'm pretty well sold on the bull too if all checks out alright. I will require babies anyway  I can't imagine how small the little guys will be...guess I may see for myself next year :D I need to work on fencing in order to have enough pasture for them, but that will be fairly easy since I have access to more anyway to the side of the house. It belongs to DH's uncle, but we have permission to use it since he isn't and won't be using it. I hope he will at least allow us to pay the taxes on it, but I doubt he will. That's just how he is. He's so sweet :)

I can't wait to see them tomorrow, and I HOPE they meet expectations and are healthy animals!!! If not, I'm not giving up though. I have seen several on our local CL for a bit higher price, but still a good deal.

 Maybe I should buy them all up and bring them to a stock sale in Michigan :P I could make some quick cash!!!
