Cindi may do it different but thats fried cabbage here. Well the butter makes it unhealthier so its more like fried.

Chop cabbage. Prepare a cast iron skillet with enough bacon grease to coat the bottom(about a tablespoon), Then add a teaspoon of butter, and toss the cabbage in. You can add salt if you wish, but the bacon grease has enough for me ;) Then you just let it fry until it cooks down a good bit. It's delicious!!
Never had it that way...........oh GRANNY!

Now that's what I'm talking about...that's why we have cast iron skillets in the house.... :drool

MIL is going to have to drive past a farm market on the way back to bring DS home tomorrow anyways. When I went past today, cabbage was 99 cents per head. Need to make a phone call in the morning.......:weee

Mine is good too!
Take no offense, young sir, I'm sure it is tasty, we may partake of it eventually.
Bacon fat, however, is one of the building blocks of the culinary universe and must be sampled ASAP. :)

 The key is to chop the cabbage in about 1 inch squares and as it cooks out some of the moisture it will soak in some of the yummy bacon grease and butter ;) we LOVE it like this!
