Oh my dear...I'm afraid he is going to go away in the next couple weeks. He's ummm uh getting a bit too "friendly" with his sister :/ Sooner than I thought he would even... :hu

I now have 4 RIR hens, 4 Golden Lace Wyandotte hens, and 55 meaties on order for late April.

Decided I am going to hire some local Amish guys to frame and roof my new coop. I'll side it and finish it out inside by myself.

DW is has approved the plan.

The family fight is going to be what to do with the BR's I currently have. This is going to be their 3rd year laying and I was getting the new ones to prep the rotation. Everyone has stated that they will not eat any of the BR's.....

:/ Yeah...um let my family say that. i'll hide them in chicken quesadillas and they'll eat it anyway :P :lau

Summer before last, we culled two roosters we had "adopted". The picky eaters in the house wouldn't touch 'em - more for me.

I offered to do the stew thing ("I'll take care of it"), but the "they are pets!" drive is too strong. I said, well if you were hungry enough, you'd eat them.... :lau

Hide it in with the meaties. Don't tell them any different. Surely they don't pay THAT much attention.
