We had one of those "let me do this tomorrow and I won't ask again for a week" type situations. I clearly laid out the expectations for the weekend - we'll see if I get back-up on this one. Stay tuned......

if they don't help they'd be soooo scoopin poop in the coop all weekend I'm a mean momma!! Mine know not to push me too far on chores issues. DD got home today and got all hers done before her daddy and I got home. She messed up on a few things, but at least she tried. I give them slack for effort

Yeah, but when your spouse is internally rebelling from an over-zealous mother who used chores as a way to keep the kids out of her hair during the day. You have to walk a fine line on how hard you can push. We came up with a nice chore system, but you need diligence from everyone. I have a list for DD that has to be done in the morning before she leaves, yes I'm a mean dad.
