I'm not going to go into details, but be wary of the "snap" analysis. I vigorously challenged such an "instant analysis" with one of the kids and proved them wrong. Just because someone may show symptoms, that doesn't mean it's the cause.

Schools get funding to help students with this type of stuff. Its often money that gets applied elsewhere, but they are supposed to provide testing, guidance, and Individual Development Plans (IDP) if there are issues. Well-behaved, respectful kids get lost in the shuffle because they "aren't a problem" compared to other kids. Be your own advocate to force the school to get to the bottom of this. Just my humble advice.

yeah that's right...a cow I don't know how it happened really...I talked about a cow, and *poof* an opportunity for a cow comes up.....I won't mention any more animals anytime soon So I have a friend who has some land, who doesn't eat a lot of c-o-w and so they want to get a cow and can't eat it all. Enter me and my SS weirdo mentality...they are getting TWO ,cows, ya know, so the one is not lonely..and they only want about 60 pounds of ground beef and 6 or 8 roasts...the rest is ours Our contribution...build a fence and go in halves on feed for about 10 months until they are eating size. Good deal? What does everyone think? These are trustworthy folks, so not worried about getting ripped. I'm just not sure what the crud we would do with ALL THAT MEAT in 10 months. I have a freezer, but uh...that's a LOAD of beef! I know I could sell some of it, but not sure how much. Need ideas. Have to decide for sure whether we are in or not within a couple weeks.

for those who know cattle...also, what age is BEST slaughter age for tender steaks and of course cost effective age to slaughter. SO MANY questions

2. cow, bull, or steer?
3. grass fed? Age now?

The younger the more tender but by 1 1/2 years your steers will have reached their max size and will still be fairly tender.

2. bulls? I believe...
3. Will be grass fed as much as possible, just weaned now.

You must castrate for max growth. Bulls will develop more manly features while steers will get fat..........
