3 bean salad
7up salad
cranberry sauce
pumpkin pie

persimmon pudding

I Hope everyone has a nice dinner here and we always have room at our table for others as well. Got alot of family coming in so i dont know what else will be on the menu lol

Are you making the persimmon pudding? I have been looking for recipes using persimmon. If you would like to share, I would be happy to give my recipe for persimmon bread.

Are you making the persimmon pudding? I have been looking for recipes using persimmon. If you would like to share, I would be happy to give my recipe for persimmon bread.
Hi sure my Granny passed it down to us, here it is:

2 cups persimmon pulp
2 eggs
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
6 cups milk
1 tablespoon butter

Heat your oven to 350, add everything in a large bowl except the permission pulp and add in three cups of the milk and mix well, then add in 1 cup of permission and 1 1/2 cups milk and mix well, then add the remaining persimmion and milk and continue mixing till its smooth and no lumps.

Pour into a greased pan and place in the oven. Bake for 2 hours, check it a couple of times with a toothpick in the center during the baking.

When its done remove and let it cool.

Make a glaze using powdered sugar and drizzle over the top of the cooled pudding.

That's how Granny always made it and the way my DW does now using Granny's recipe

Also its very rich but sooooo gooood!
