Oh I forgot to mention yesterday DD and I both got cursed out at the flea market. We had DD's snake there to sell, she has decided to sell him since she can't keep him fed well enough. Well anyway, I sent her across the street to get us drinks, and this woman cursed her out because she had the snake.

Well she immediately came and told me about it, and I kinda blew it off, figured maybe she exaggerated a bit anyway, and what was I supposed to do go hunt the woman down and twist her ear till she apologized? Well then I was holding the snake, and the lady came over to look at the little dogs someone was giving away next to our spot. DD whispered in my ear and pointed her out to me. Then...she looked up, saw the snake, and started to curse me out too!

I was about to knock some sense into her, but then I realized, she was mentally retarded, and genuinely extremely phobic of the snake. I wasn't doing anything but standing there, but this chick was spazzing out like I was coming at her with the snake. She was terrified, and boy could she let the curse words fly. It made me mad that she cursed DD, but then you can't really fault someone who doesn't have their right mind either. Between curse words she was even apologizing, but she just could not overcome the fear and control herself. Someone taught her some very colorful language at some point though. Poor woman.
I thought it was funny/cute DD came to me for "protection." Sometimes she's like a little kid again. I think the woman really scared her. She was pretty scary, she was very threatening, but she was just that afraid of being near the snake. She was yelling she'd "kill that MF'er", and actually would act like she was going to come toward it to do just that and then have a second thought. You could tell the chick was unstable, and I didn't know what she was gonna do. I have never saw anyone that phobic in my life. Eventually though she just walked away. It bothers me that nobody was with her though.

If she had done that to someone else, they may not have been as understanding and might actually have knocked her in the head or something. She was THAT threatening about it. I guess DD wasn't exaggerating at all. *sigh* Oh well..at least I didn't actually have to do anything, but I was ready if she came at me. It really is sad though no one was with her to help her or pull her out of the situation she percieved she was in of being threatened with the snake. :/ I feel for folks like that.
I got a lot to do today. I have to go to the feed store, then I have the hushpuppies to make for the party, then the party. I have to get the animals fed, and get a few newspapers too.
