Already busy busy today. I took the neighbor kid to school, took DD to the doctor because suddenly she has decided she WANTS TO STAY ON HER A.D.D. MEDS after fighting me for YEARS about taking them Then I took her to school. The whooooooole way she griped about her punishment and said we treated her sister better than her. Of course. Nevermind the FACTS that her sisters boyfriend had a LISCENSE and a CAR so they could see each other more often and nevermind the FACT that she had a job, paid her insurance, bought her own car, AND paid for her gas. Can't I just beat her and lock her up for a couple years....they should make a new law that parents can do that LEGALLY once per year between the ages of 13-18. Anyway, yeah, she is REALLY trying my patience. Even the doctor got onto her for her smart mouth and attitude, and that REALLY pee'd her off! I couldn't help but laugh At least now maybe she won't be such a snotty brat in public because it embarassed her so bad.

I gotta shell peas today. I got a couple bushels from the farm for us and the neighbors. So I have that to do, after I feed and water the animals. I had to drop a few things off at moms after the running this morning, so I got that done now. It just seems to have been such a looooooong morning already...I need a nap

I got the cell phone bills under control now, got the house phone cut off. May still cut off the TV. Dh is not wanting to just yet. I guess we'll wait and see if he gets this job or not. I'll be selling peas before long. I have a place I can get them for $16 a bushel. I can easily resell for $25 a bushel, $35 if I go to a certain place to sell. So, maybe i can pull some more money in that way. I'm getting more tomatoes tomorrow, but those are about gone. This may be the last I can get of those, and I think I'm going to can most if not all of them.

Anyway....that's my updates. Not much going on here. We're just trying to hang on.

I never understood why kids act so shocked when a third-party, neutral source points out the negative behavior YOU'VE been on them about! Yes, your bad attitude CAN be seen by everybody - it's NOT just in your parents head like you were assuming!

Maybe TV is your DH's 'draw the line' item. Mine is electricity I don't mind not having a phone, things are much quieter that way and, if it's so darn important you gotta tell me this instant, drive over here and tell me! No TV would make things more peaceful too. There are things I'd miss watching (I am a racing fanatic - would sorely miss watching that) but I think DS would suffer the most from withdrawals. But other than the obvious (a roof over our heads, food in our bellies), I feel we (or I'm, in the past) are still doing OK as long as the lights are still on.

id cut tv off tomorrow, but the early termination fee would SUCK...still i think come the 1 yr mark im going to say g-bye to dish...I dont watch TV enoug for it to be "usefull" ill invest in a HDMI cable so i can hook my laptop to my TV and use one of the many "free" tv sites and mabe get netflix...

im thinking about making the phone go bye bye too (gotta see what the early termination fee is) and get a pay as you go...i use mabe 5 mins a month so as long as the mins dont expire im all good.

ive got fingers crossed for DD, mabe between the doc pointing out that others can seeher attitude and this kickabout wanting to stay on her meds, things may get a little betterwiht her for a while,heaven knows you need the break lol.

I FINALLY got the peas done. Dinner was hamburger steak, fries, and pork n beans, with a big healthy helping of homemade Reese's for dessert I was SO hungry! Tomorrow morning I pick up tomatoes and I'll have those to do. We hauled a load of steel today, and I gotta say, there is a big solid steel gear wheel inside a dozer motor, that we couldn't lift off the ground and I hope to NEVER see another one of those stupid things EVER AGAIN! It took everything both me and DH had to roll it sloooooowwwwwly up a makeshift ramp, and onto the back of the truck. I swear the stupid thing weighed 400 pounds by itself My back hurts, and I am sure DH is hurting too. UGH! It was about 5 inches thick and only as big around as a small car tire, but it was HEAVY! I'm beat.

On a good note, the guineas are laying now, so I should have keets before long I just wish the Legbars would get a move on. I'm thinking it'll be a few more weeks for them though. Come Spring...I should have a nice flock to sell a ton of eggs

*sigh* i have one more chore to do. I need to move the chicks from the bedroom outside to the brooder and feed and water them. I tiiiired

Anyone up for some thoroughly scored pork roast? i tossed one on the grill, couldn't get the grill lit, came back in the house to calm down(YES i was THAT frustrated) and waited about 15 minutes, went back out to try again, and the whole stupid thing was ablaze Sooooooo.......how has your day been?

I went to the farm and got more maters. We looked over their wringer washer to figure how to make a pea sheller out of it. Gonna try to find a printer and make one instead. Gonna be a fun project

Yeah, I plan on making a few of them. One for here, one for my Amish friends, and one for my mom.
