Well poop...I lost one of my runner ducks today. She got attacked by a predator....a predator that lives in my house :/ I guess we'll never own a Lab for very long. It seems NONE of them will leave birds alone, and they don't seem to train out of it very well either

I just rehomed the Great Dane last night, guess I'll be rehoming the chocolate lab now too. Kita will be happy. She doesn't like dogs anyway, because ya know she is NOT a dog, and dogs are annoying to her

From here on out, we're sticking to Pit Bulls or nothing on this farm. They are the only dogs we have ever owned that are obedient and leave the animals alone. I guess after we rehome Bella we'll be getting a new "man eater" pup sometime in the near future.

This is frustrating

Besides that, today has been rather good. Church was very good this morning. I have only had 1 cigarette today, and I'm not grumpy, it's really not bothering me all that bad. Last night, my blood pressure got a little high, and I couldn't sleep, which got me to thinking about quitting again, and so it kinda got pretty well decided then that I'm done with the stupid things. No more trying to "slow down" or "setting a date" or whatever, I'm just done. I take a puff or two off DH's just to take the edge off, and I have no pack of my own, gave up my lighter, and fully intend to quit completely within a few weeks. My puff puff pass has ammounted to about one cigarette today. I have not lit one for myself, or smoked a whole one since last night. Hoping this works, because I'm tired of the habit. I don't care about the "smell" or whatever, I'm just tired of smoking, and IF that's what causing my BP spikes, then that should stop. I'm also cutting back on my salt intake again, but that's simple. Enough blathering on about all that mess though..

I know I could never leave my son's beagle around any of the animals, she would have gone for them. But even though she really, really wanted all those animals, my springer never messed w/them after she realized I didn't want her to touch them. I hope when I get my next dog that she'll be as good.

Labs just have that strong prey drive with winged animals...it sucks, she's a great dog in every other way!!

Oh, and I wound up having about 4 smokes today. :/ DD has been particularly trollish. Those go to he** looks are about to get her slapped upside the head My momma would killed me for that crap, and I'm not taking any more of it either. Every time she doesn't get what she wants she argues, and if you try to just cut her off and make her go away she has to start that passive aggressive crap stomping, slamming, shooting dirty looks garbage, till you could just choke her. Teenagers should be exiled :/

Anyway, I have apparently become some sort of an influential leader of sorts in this house. DH and R decided if I am not smoking anymore, neither are they So long as they don't take it out on me, I'm fine with that. It'll save us about $20 a week between the three of us if we all quit, and I can think of a few better uses for that cash. Even though it's not that much to begin with, it'll add up. All of our tobacco is gone now. I think DH has a few cigarettes left that he rolled this morning, R has none, and I have none, and they told me not to buy any more. We'll see how it goes.
