We harvested our first honey!!!!

And it is sooo good. Unfortunaly as I was finishing up I realized that there was a hole in my bee suit. And so did the bees Ouchie. Swelling is slowly going down and I am getting ready to order a new bee suit. I love my honey though!

Nah. Only 8 times. Swelling is already going down and I heard it is supposed to be good for muscle aches and stuff. The first time I got stung it was really bad and took 2 weeks to go away, this time it is barely half as bad. And boy that honey is sooooo delicous. Yummy!

GREAT work on the honey! how much did you get???

we only got about 20 pounds this year - but at least we didnt loose any hives.

and um.. yep... we've had the old "hole in the suit" thing here. sorry about the stings and hope you feel better soon!

We got around 30lbs but we havent done all frames yet, still waiting on the extractor. We did those by hand and it was work intensive but a lot of fun.
