Frost advisory for southern IL and the general area overnight April 14 & into the morning of April 15. Glad I didn't plant any potatoes yet. Everything I've planted so far is hardy, so I think I'll be OK.

Today so far is cold, 5C high, and WET. And windy. I hope this is going to blow over soon. DS is home for Easter holidays and wanting to be outside, playing.

April is Severe weather Prep month - something the state does to try to convince residents to be prepared for sever weather during the summer months. Wednesday was the day scheduled to have a statewide practice Tornado Warnings. To check the sirens, schools to practice tornado drills, etc.
However, this year the tornado drill was cancelled by a blizzard during a flood... welcome to Wisconsin spring weather. We are still melting the 4" of snow we got on Wednesday.

We dropped into a normal spring about a week and a half ago. Grass has grown over a foot in that time. I'm hoping it dries enough I can mow it.
